Welcome

Cowher As Cleveland Coach? Or Not?
C'mon, is Bill Cowher really the guy to turn things around for the Browns? Sure, I have fond memories of Bill racing up and down the sidelines as a Special Teams coach for Marty, but all those years in Peuksburg with all that talent and only one Super Bowl ring? I'm not sold on the idea. But who could the Browns really get that would be better?
These folks want Romeo gone and Bill in '09...

lets not get all excited just because a guy buys a house in town. i dont think hes going to do anything in coaching (especially in cleveland) as long as the current ownership in spitsburgh still is in control.

I believe that Coach Cowher is what the Browns need at this point. While he may not be Vince Lombardi or Belicheck his sideline temperment is just what the Browns premadonna's need.Someone willing to get in there faces when they fail to meet expectations. He seemed to get an awful lot out of no names at Pittsburgh and we he did they made a lot of money going somewhere else. He then started over again and had the same sucess with the new players. In any case both the players and the team benefited.Surely we could use some of that in C town.

As a longterm Steeler fan, I personally would welcome Cowher's hiring by the CLOWNS, because it would eliminate the uncertainty I have about Cowher's relative contribution to Pittsburgh's success during his tenure there. I personally think that Cowher is no longer in Belicheck's(sp?) class as a coach-Cowher could not adjust at halftime or exploit weaknesses the way Hoodie does now. So, if Cowher comes to the Mistake on the Lake and goes to the playoffs every year, then Pittsburgh's success must have been due in large measure to Cowher. But, if he goes 6-10 like Romeo and all the other poor choices the CLOWNS have made for coaches, I will know that it was the Steeler organization that made Cowher and not the other way around. Also, I do remember Cowher's teams consistently beating the old CLOWNS as well as the new CLOWNS. Of course, EVERYONE consistently beats the new Clowns.
